Recession Update
2009.02.27 | Just a bunch of silliness, really |money, my way is better
I’m not really into things that are trendy or mainstream. Facebook? Pfft. Fashion? Puh-leese. Personal hygiene? Whatever. Lately it seems this so-called global recession is all anybody can talk about. Despite all the press its getting nobody really has much nice to say about it. Thus, after some lengthy consideration I’ve decided not to participate in the recession. Thanks anyway!

Did you notice in the pictures the sign advertises free coffee and doughnuts? Now if I was down on my luck I think something a bit more substantial (like oatmeal) would be better appreciated.
I’ll bet the donuts were Krispy Kremes.

Especially since this whole recession thing has seeped over into how I continue with my higher education, I’m totally with you on this. Down with the recession! Although you may want to look into that whole personal hygiene thing. The fashion and sandals subject we can let slide… for now.
You aren’t participating in the recession because you have a nice cushy job which provides you with far more money that you actually need. If you were to lose that job however…
…and, you really should try facebook. The fashion and hygiene can be worked on later.

I am glad you refuse to participate in the recession. I have also chosen not to participate. The Ryan Beck’s of the world will not control our destiny! Also, I refuse to participate in A.A. I do not have a problem!

P.S. to Beth-
No one would wait in line for oatmeal.

haha…I’m glad Rob isn’t taking part in this recession. But truth be told, Mr.Martin has always acted like he was in a recession with smart money management.
Kellen, its too late their already in charge:)
The pendulum has swung. Maybe Steve Jobs could get us out of this mess.
I agree…there’s no need to get all antsy about things. (warning: the following is my self-created statistic) For every 9 people that panic, there is 1 person that stays calm. Be that person and you’re more likely to get a job!

Kellen – I go to an A.A.meeting every saturday morning. I highly recommend it. It’a an inspiring group and sometimes it’s highly entertaining.
No kidding. Talk about buzz word… I can’t count the amount of times I have heard the word “economy” or “recession” in recent discussions. Nice entry. I enjoyed it tremendously! ha ha…

How come people are addressing a person named Kellen? I am Nigel Alistair Willoughby, the Lord Viceroy of the Royal Admirality!

It’s fine not to care about fashion, but I really think you shouldn’t let on about the personal hygiene… could scare your dates away. :) I agree about the recession though.

I let Mom do the worrying in our home. I prefer causing ulcers, headaches, etc., rather than having them. “Tis far better to give than to receive.”
